Magda Novels
Song ‘Time to serve’
“Vol. 1 Shadow Work goes far beyond folk, blending indie-pop, desert rock, and psychedelic moments to create an album that is both atmospheric and transcendent.”
Think Scandinavian noir wrapped in Nashville grit…

Magda's alter ego, Magda Andersson is also a member of the folk-pirate band Ye Banished Privateers, which has given years of experience when it comes to performance. MAGDA NOVELS, allows her to confront her innermost fears, creating a unique space for self-expression and artistic freedom.
Magda’s journey into music began at a young age, with her first performances and songwriting experiences shaping her path. She draws influence from legendary artists like Patti Smith and Joni Mitchell, embracing vulnerability and artistic risk in her work.
Her blend of Swedish storytelling traditions with a modern sound creates an experience that resonates emotionally, no matter where you are in the world.
Her live performances feature a full band with keys, electric guitar, drums, percussion, and bass, while Magda herself sings and plays acoustic guitar. Backing tracks are used subtly to enrich the sound and build a distinctive atmosphere. Inspired by artists such as Patti Smith and Joni Mitchell, Magda merges traditional Swedish storytelling with a modern, emotionally resonant edge.
